how come when i turn the headlights my dashbourd clock light dims and the dashbord lighs to ?

 

So you don't have a bright *** clock shining in your face while you drive at night.

 

it's completely and totally normal...it's called a dimming

 

If you don't like how much it changes there is an adjustment **** on the left hand side of the steering wheel with a push-lock ****. righty brighty, lefty no so brighty

EDIT: I just learned if you don't log in the word kn.ob is censored, why? I'm not entirely sure. (I am but does kn.ob really count?)

 

Sounds like your distributor capacitor relay is going out. They are very rare and can only be found on the 87 Prelude SI's in Canada.
