Default 1993 honda civic EG6 Tail Lights

so I went to start my car today and the battery was dead. got a jump and realized that my tail lights wont turn off. any ideas?

Break light? The brighter light or the dimmer light? Check by asking someone to press the break. If nothing changed, then your break switch on the paddle need checking. Usually the case is that, this thing break apart and fall off because it's old.

They are very cheap and easy to replace for breaks.

Don't replace it yet. Diagnose first. If you can't turn the light off, how are you waiting till tomorrow? Letting the battery die?

Did you check the switch to see if it's good or not? You just press the little button at the top end of the pedal.

not yet and yes i just let my car die lol it was pitch black out when i posted this and the shops were closed. we cant work on our cars in the parking lot on base either

Most likely the tab on the brake light switch, get under there and check it. I just used a screw to replace the plastic tab, and bought a new switch too for my CR-V

I've heard of someone very cheap glueing a penny there as a permanent solution.
