Default smell of fuel in my garage

Just bought a 97 Civic LX automatic with 168,000 miles. 2 mechanics within the last 2 weeks (1 to do my oil change and change the fuel filter and the other mechanic to do a transmission flush) said whoever had the car before me took great care of it and there are no leaks of any kind. I notice every morning that my garage smells like fuel. There are no visible leaks under the car. Any thoughts?

look for leaks around fuel filter. turn key to ON and pressurize fuel system and look for leaks amd/or seepage.

This^ is definitely the first place to start, given that the fuel filter was replaced.
