Default Swap and ecu questions

Hey guys got done with my swap not long ago and when I went to start the car, well it didn't. The car cranks but it won't start. I've checked pretty much everything and nothing. The one thing I noticed is that I have a solid cel light. I tried pulling the codes but it doesn't give me any, also my pump is not priming. I checked my main relay even bought a new one, checked all my wiring and ground everything checks out. The only thing I haven't check is the ecu. I've read online that a lot of the times when a solid cel light comes on it could be the ecu. The swap I put in was a 96 spec b18c type r on a 93 hatch CX. I have a chipped p06. Now my friend is gonna let me borrow he's ecu and see if that works. My question would you guys suggest If it turns out to be my ecu should I go for another chipped ecu or go for a stock jdm p73? What could be best? Note that the motors is pretty much stuck. If I choose to go with the p73 would it be plug and play with a jumper harness? Or would I run into some other issues?

Thermostat ground? I'm tired right now and I really just skimmed through the OP so I'm just guessing.

Solid CEL is probably bad ground, ive had the issue, ^^^. Its a 10mm bolt on top of thermostat, if its not connected, connect it, or sand/clean the connection.

Have you tested the underhood fuse for the ecu?

I've checked my thermosta ground it looks good. I forgot to mention I'm using a rywire harness so my wires are good and the actual thermostat also looks good. I have another ground from my tranny to the classy is there another must have ground? I was told the valve cover ground is not a necessary but I guess I'll put one there just to make sure. The computer I have is a p06 chipped. I figure my safest bet was a p73 and a jumper harness. My question is would I run into other issues? Or would it be a plug an play type of thing?

You're pretty much on your own with that Rywire harness.

The rywire harness was pretty straight forward didn't have a problem plugging everything in. Would you guys happened to know a way to test the ecu? I would like to be sure it's the ecu before getting another, even tho at this point it's the only thing I haven't tried. Again would a p73 be the safest route to go?

that's what I thought the OP was going to do int he first place I don't know why hes asking the same question... swap with your friend and see if it works correctly and no cell's... phearable.net I believe has a circuit board with the ecu u plugs that u can plug the ecu into it and it will tell u if the ecu is bad or not.... it would be much cheaper to just swap ecu's with a friend as u said u were gonna do to begin with.... then come back with ur answer... till then u need to keep searching on your own.... did u just do a swap and this happened or did it happen after owning and driving it for years?

Hey guys happy 4th of July by the way. I was working on my car waiting for a friend to come through with his chipped p28 and I realize that whenever I went to try to start the car my fan wouldn't turn on.... Now my fan would always be on before I did the swap that's how the guy I bought it from had it set up, so I find it weird that now it doesn't come on. Another interesting thing is if I take off the starter/tranny ground, the fan does come on as soon as I turn the key... I'm starting to think it is a ground issue... All my grounds look good. I find it very strange. Any ideas? Oh and my friend maverick came through -_-

So since I haven't been able to find someone that can leand me an ecu. I went back and double check all my wiring and cables. I retest my main relay and in the process I also checked my relay harness using this https://honda-tech.com/forums/honda-crx-ef-civic-1988-1991-3/checking-main-relay-pics-2535047/ if you guys look at the link and scroll down to step 7 of the harness test I don't get the 10 volts it says I'm suppose to get, I get around 3 volts. What do you guys think it could be?
