sup guys i got a d16z6/d16y8 turbo that was runing just fine till the other day.i did a quik pull and one of my spark plug wire came off so i put it back on and now after 5,500 rpms start cutting off i really dont know whats wrong i move the timeing on the ignition back a lil and it pulls harder but still cutting off after 5,500 rpm if any of u could help me ill be more than happy and thankfull.....

Seems like it may be ignition related...

I would have the icm and coil tested with a multimeter

u think it could b the ignition?

 

would of be a good idea to get like the msd ignition kit or should i leaveit how it is and get a stock ignition cap and roto with wires?

 

Stop guessing whats wrong by throwing stuff at it you dont know if it needs it or not...start by testing the ignition components to see if any failed (which is what im thinking)


msd kit is pointless with your set-up. OEM ignition components are good for 500+ hp
