Why replace rear lower control arms?. I'm a total newb. How do you know when its time to replace them?

 

People replace them mostly for looks.
The bushings are what goes bad on these.

 

most people replace them because they wanna have the gaudy colored LCAs. if you actually need to replace them because of the bushings being worn, you can get replacement bushings from various companies such as hardrace.

 

Or you snap your sway bar end link bolts off in them and it cost about the same to replace as to get the snapped bolts removed

if you are going to replace them get honda control arms again bushings from other compaines dont last long and you really only pay for the color and name of the company like blox, D2, skunk2(they got a little better) if you wanted a look and good bushings then the f7 but there like $250 you can get oem both sides for like $120
