I am trying to build my first turbo engine. Used D16Y7 block with stock crank, forged rods, vitara pistons on ACL RACE bearings on crank and rods. Boost-machine will be a TH04HL-16T, looking for more than 300HP.
Now I am thinking - what will be the best oil pump here? Now I tried to load here a DOHC oil pump (PM7, from D16Z5 engine, really good condition), where the flow is counted to 65 l./min. Some people are worried for that because of cavitation occurence. Is it possible? I have found anybody who used this pump in SOHC engine, so I am so worried of that.
Anybody would tell me "how" do "best"?
