Driving my 90 STD HB sometimes sitting at a red light... in first gear with the clutch pedal down I can feel my motor idle below normal... when I begin to take off... my car struggles to get gas and lurches for a second... sometimes loses power... if I'm in neutral without the clutch pedal down and I pat the gas very easily... the motor stalls out... Is it something to do with my IACV? Or something else?

 

I too have this problem... sometimes. I've cleaned out my IACV but it was in pretty bad condition so I'm not sure how much it helped cleaning it. It ran fine for a day and then started misfiring and stalling again.

My civic did that. turned out that my rotor button broke off inside the diz and was giving me a miss but at higher rpm would straighten itself out. replaced cap plugs wires plugs and rotor button and it runs like a champ. cheap and good maintenance

 

I've been cleaning my IACV and putting fuel injector cleaner in every now and then and my motor has been idling alot better... If that helps any of yall... your welcome
