Icon2 Clutch Choices.....

Im going to be replacing my clutch here soon and Im in a bit of a snag deciding on what clutch to buy.
Can't decide On an Exedy 08801A Racing clutch kit
or Exedy 08902A 3 Puck Racing Clutch kit

or even an ACT clutch of some kind.

My qualms for the first one (08801A)- Looks pretty much stock except the term "racing"in the product title, full puck as well like OEM. Nothing to indicate its of a higher level of quality and durability and above OEM-also says its stage one as well.

My qualms of the second one (08902A) only two qualms here,
No reviews of it so I dont know either way of its benefits or durability.
Says "Thin Ceramic Facing" inn the product description witch concerns me on how long it would "clutch" effectively.
Both are view able on Amazon.com as well.

If anyone has any suggestions or Recommendations for other clutches then please provide links and personal expiernce as well. Thanx and as always, here's a Newcastle!

I'm betting this is a stock civic with d or possibly a b were talking about ? nothing to warrant a puck style clutch which is not as durable as a full face organic or other non puck style disc. You'd be best off with an Exedy OE or if you like to drive a bit rough an exedy stage 1. anything else is overkill in this case

Yah its not a built D16Y8, I was mainly trying to improve the clutch as reclaim as much torque as I could, Based on what you said I would be better off with the Full face then im guessing?

A clutch either holds the power you're making or it doesn't. One does not work better than another, it either holds or it slips. You want the closest clutch to stock that will hold the power you're making along with a small margin for safety. If it's more or less a stock Y8 an OEM replacement clutch will work just fine.
