My auto to 5 Speed Swap
Okay guys, I have commenced the swap. It has been a hellacious journey but I am almost to the promised land. I have installed the transmission, the clutch line, the slave cylinder the shift cables, etc. All that I have to do now is install the driveshafts, do the wiring, and install the clutch pedal/brake+accel pedal.
Some concerns I have are about the shifter, is it supposed to be so loose? Like its quite loose, I can wobble it back and forth and even a little bit diagonally. Everything is hooked up properly though, I used lots of grease. I can still shift it into all gears normally though, it feels good
I had a bad time trying to get the MT to go onto the clutch, I got really fed up with that, it really grinded my gears. By the way I hope I get no grinds, the MT I have has about 200,000 presumably since the car had that many. I am using Pennz sychromesh. I didn't know the car had that many miles on it...
Anyways, wish me luck on this. I will update you on the outcome, perhaps with a video.
