D16Z6 block notching

Icon6 D16Z6 block notching

hey is ther a brand of forged pistons that will go straight in a d16z6 without having to notch the block or notch the griddle. im asking because i dont have the resources to get that done to my engine block or griddle and the only machien shop in town dont work on imports. please tell me ther is a brand of forged pistons that go straight in the engine without machien work

i can use a dremel? how much do i need to take off. and the thing is i dont have the **** to take my engine out of my car. and no i dont own a dremel

You don't have to notch the block because of the pistons. You have to notch the block and girdle because aftermarket rods are too large.

If you don't have the tools to pull an engine I highly recommend leaving your block alone. There is more to it than throwing new pistons and rods into an engine.

sorry i ment to say rods not pistons sorry my bad, but what im asking is if ther is a brand of forged rods that i dont have to do that with. and i know i gatta do more than just throw pistons and rods in it i gatta do alot more ive done my research and know i gatta titanium valves get a valve job get a block guard but idk if i should sleve the cylenders im iffy. but ive done my research i just wanna know if ther is a brand that will fit with no mods to my block, lol i just wanna finish my turbo project. and thers alot more i gatta do as well

I have heard mixes things about eagle rods needing/not needing the block to be notched.

how do you plan to do all that if the only machine shop in town doesnt work on imports, as you say?

by saying you don't have the **** to take out your engine i guessing you have all the tool except engine hoist to lift it out if that is the case you don't really need one it will make the the job easier but not needed i done most of my swap just by using 3 ton car jack and regular craftsman rachet, wrench, torque wrench, ect no engine hoist no air compressor.

no i dont have an engine hoist. but im not gonna worry about it anymore, im just gonna save the extra money and get a b series engine.
