just bought a 95 civic, suffered from black death

bought a junkyard condenser and rubber lines
bought a new compressor and dryer
flushed metal lines
vacuumed system for 30 min and recharged to .45 kgs

(didnt touch evaporator or expansion valve)

at idle the ac blows warm, rev it up to about 1500 rpm and it will cool to about 45 degrees

while at idle sprayed condenser down with water and didnt seem to have much of a change.

thoughts?

 

I believe that the refrigerant capacity of your A/C system is 0.6-0.65 kg.

 

I agree my civic takes 650g, not enough refrigerant in system

 

also when you replace A/C parts with new ones you are suppose to add oil, did you add any?

 

my mistake i charged the system to .55 kgs this is the max charge according to the sticker under the hood, and yes all components were properly balanced with oil.

 

also the condenser fan is running anytime the ac clutch is engauged
