99 D16y8 IM on 96 D16y8 head
Okay I just put in a 96 D16y8 engine on my 99 civic. I noticed that my Intake manifold has the air injection holes because it had a huge vacuum leak. I was wondering if I can plug up the 5 holes. And if I do what do I do with the FIA control valve? Do i just leave it connected. Also will this affect smog? What are the downsides on plugging the holes?

If you're in Cali good luck, you're gonna have to connect all those air injection parts to make them functional. I'd just look around for a 96-98. But also having an older engine in a newer vehicle is auto fail as well. Good luck.
