Distributor O ring replacement.
Guys, I'll be replacing my 98 civic dizzy O-ring today and was wondering if I'm gonna set the timing back over.
My dizzy top bolt is set all the way forward. I think that's what advanced means.
Anyway I see people on youtube center it and leave it there. Since mine is all the forward. Should I center it to get the bolt in and then advance to where it was?

Yea, just mark it and set it back the way it was. Otherwise, you're gonna have to break out a timing light and an external tach and hope you can find a place dark enough to read the timing marks.
Personally, if you've never done one before and the car was once previously owned.... i'd do an ignition timing just to make sure it is right. Can never be to safe. Just my two cents.
I looked at a old pic from 2008 and it seems to be all the way foward too. So..I might just do as other said.
Thanks though.
