need help with piston rings

Icon3 need help with piston rings

this is my firwst post so i hope im powsting in the right place?

soo i bought a crx a few weeks ago and it had a bad headgasket but it still smokes so i did a compression test, and all cylinders went 195 but cylinder 4 was at 110 . now my car smokes like crazy.. u cant see a mile behind you lol.
how can i get it to stop smoking or seal up the 4th piston ring till i can afford and have time to rebuild the motor or swap it please help thanks

It seems you have to get in there anyway to inspect cylinder walls, piston, and of course, piston rings. When you replaced headgasket, did you check for out of round, taper and cylinder wall scoring on all cylinders? This much you can do without taking pistons out, for anything more involving, you are pretty much taking everything apart, which without planned rebuild seems pointless.

If I may suggest an option: spend less money on getting a well running, direct swap motor, put that in place, then wait for more money and plan a rebuild. Used motor will cost you as much as an average rebuild kit from online stores (not OEM), but for proper rebuild you will need extra machining work done, especially after blown headgasket.

when i did the headgasket i checked everything the only thing that was abnormal was the 4 piston or 4th cylinder piston it had a bunch of knicks on the top like somone hit it with a screw driver as hard as they could it left a few holes about as deep as the ball on the tip of a pen
