Default 94 Honda Civic Lower Control Arm change.

I am changing the Lower Control Arm on my Civic this afternoon on the passenger side. One of the main bolts that bolt the Control Arm to the frame will constantly spin inside the control arm. I cannot get it to back out of tighten up. Any suggestions on how to get this out?

Your going to have to cut a square into the subframe( i know it ruins the structure) and tac weld that nut back down. Thats the only thing you can do

At what point does the control arm attach to the frame, front or rear? I can't picture this.

if you follow the Front LCA toward the Center of the car it bolts up with 3 bolts at the subframe which bolts up the "compliance bushing assy"

the LCA on the front has a single bolt also... come to think of it without looking at my subframe i cannot recall which bolt he is talking about.

How to avoid this in the future? Did you heat any piece up before trying to take it off?

There's is no way to avoid it. It happens. It's called rust. The only thing you can do is use anti-seize on new bolts or bolts that you can successfully remove and reuse.
