Rear Sway Bar???
Im new to the honda game so bare with me. I have a 95 Del Sol si. im assuming it came with a sway bar, but mine doesnt have one. how much does that effect everything in terms of driveability? I have had the car for about 3 months now and it hasnt seemed bad without it so i dont know. any insight???
It's in the name, having the bar will help reduce sway or body roll. Not having it isn't going to hurt anything. Just means you'll have more body roll when you turn.
Pretty positive the only del sol that came with front and rear sway bars is the "vtec" model with the b16a3. Those had a 24mm front/15mm rear. Del sol 's' and 'si' didn't come with any.
where can i buy the honda game for my xbox?
damn i wish life was a game...we could die and come back to life within a click of a button...or better yet roll over your car and press select to reset the car and it makes all damage instantly disappear..
anyone who refers to this as a game isn't to be taken seriously- grumblemarc
^ that IS a famous honda-tech quote.

No you have a Del Sol Si Not a Del Sol Vtec. Yours has a D16Z6 SOHC Vtec engine and the Del Sol Vtec has a B16A3 DOHC Vtec engine. Your Si did not come with a rear sway bar and not having one will not hurt anything. If you want to you can add one to the rear. I go a 99-00 Civic Si rear sway bar for my 98 Civic Hx.
i recommend a subframe brace just to ensure no subframe tear out occurs. OEM size sway bars usually are ok without one but if you looks closely that metal is very thin and i do not trust it, which is why i have no rear bar because i refuse to put any sway bar on the rear without installing a brace
Are they even needed for a stock swaybar and on a Del Sol? I thought the 6th gen Civics were the only ones prone to tearout when using a larger bar.
OP, get more familiar with what car you actually have so you can ask knowledgable questions.

92 95 civics have very thing metal on that part of the sub.
94 01 integras came reinforced in that area for just this reason which is why they do not require it for any oem or mild thickness bar. Most teg owners do it for cool points rather than functionality like us civic owners do.
What kills me is when i see a civic and it has badass LCA's and a subframe brace with no sway bar at all..

i refuse to use a rear bar until i get a brace. Does anyone know the difference between the name brand ones and the slightly cheaper braces? they look the exact same. I feel like the biggest thing is the inserts you put inside the subframe where you remove your LCA's to install them, those are what make the biggest peace of mind are those little boogers.
