clutch pedal help
hey guys
i have a 97 gsr
for some reason my clutch pedal is a bit harder to push in. i did not reallize this until i drove my friend's gsr, another's friend's gsr because i was doubtful, then an si. after the test drive i drove my car i had to use 2x as much force to press the pedal in. I'm sure there isn't a race clutch in there because i bought the car from an old guy and i'm the second owner.
also i would have to periodically refill my clutch fluid (around every oil change) because for some reason it keeps draining out on me....i bled the whole system with new fluid and it STILL did it...also..i found no leaks!!!
what is up with my tranny here?
should i change the tranny fluid? i think that's what i'm goin to do next
if not i'll just get a jdm tranny with LSD and screw this one i'm tired of diagnosing it
so frustrated

i'd check again for a leak. i was working on a prelude and thought there was no leak but 2 slave cylinders later i found a leak in the fluid line. and about the hard pedal, what year was your friends gsr, cause my friend has a 2000 and his is softer than my 96. athough i have an ACT now, my stock one was harder than his. i think its normal for the older ones to have a harder pedal than the newer ones. i personally like it, better feel
the 2 gsr that i test drove were 95 and 00....my clutch pedal isn't just hard to push it....have you ever drove a car with an act stage 3 clutch?...it's almost like that...just not as hard....i'd say 90% as hard.....i like the extra pressure too...but if the pressure is not on the flywheel i'd like to find out why

As non-self-adjusting clutches (as Integras have) wear, the pedal effort increases. It's possible that your clutch disc is worn to the point of maximum pedal effort. As it continues to wear, you will notice a gradual decrease in effort, and eventually a slipping clutch.
As for fluids: Check relentlessly for leaks, as that stuff isn't good for paint, and it's gotta be going somewhere. Transmission oil has nothing to do with any of the aforementioned issues.

I have a similar (sort of) problem, maybe someone can help me. When my car is cold, the clutch pedal basically falls to the ground, and the engagement point is about two inches from the floor. Anyone know what this could be. Also, sometimes if I pump the pedal in neutral, it builds pressure back up.

either that or just refill the clutch fluid in the reservoir
Just refilling it may not purge them all... Especially if they are trapped in the line.
