Default JDM B16 Sol kind of "boggy"

Hey everyone, i've noticed recently on my 94 sol that my car sometimes is somewhat "boggy" when accelerating, in all gears, until I hit high rpms and then it just takes off. I'd say from rpms 2k-4500 is where the "boggy-ness" occurs. So far I haven't done anything tune up wise but i just ordered plugs+wires. Just wondering what else could cause this? Maybe fuel filter or injectors are dirty? No CEL codes at all and idle's steady at 600 rpms. Any ideas would be appreciated.

What have you done/checked so far (to cut down on repeat suggestions)?

Nothing so far. The only things that I can think of to solve the problem is a tune up (Plugs, Wires, Fuel filter) and go from there. If the tune up doesn't resolve the issue then i'm not sure what it could be which is what i'm trying to figure out.

If you haven't done a tune up I suggest you take care of that. That should have been a given.

Just waiting on the parts to come in. I'll post back after the tune up.

That would be part of a full tune up. The fuel filter is part of that. People seem to either forget or not know this.

B16's have that boggy feel unless VTEC is engaged, tiny motor no torque.

Well that's the thing, it doesn't seem boggy like this every day. maybe 4 days out of the week it just seems like it doesn't want to be driven lol. I'll do the plugs, wires, and fuel filter to see how that affects the car and then do the dist.

check the TPS while you're at it for dead sports. boggy ? clutch starting to slip maybe. do a compression test also

Do a tune up and see where it is.
