Im having a knock sensor code and I've already changed the sensor. The check engine light came on again same code what should i start to check next on the car?

Let me guess, you broke it changing the starter and replaced it with an aftermarket sensor?

 

I did change it with an aftermarket is this my problem? But if not what elese should i do its driving me nuts

 

Can you give the whole story. Was the one in there put in because of a code? Or was the old one working and something else happened to the sensor forcing you to replace it.

 

I just recently put a Japan motor in the car all went well except when plugging in the knock sensor it got broke and i changed the sensor off my other motor and everything was fine for 100 or so miles and then i put the new one and it was good about 10 miles then the light was back on again that's when i came to guys for advice on what i should do next

 

Maybe it's actually sensing a knock?

 

If you have the other one, put it back in there. I've heard of people having issues with aftermarket sensors.....I know, the dealer wants ~$130 for one.
