Default hytech replica headers! has anyone used them?

Is it worth it to buy the hytech replica headers for the prelude ?. I need better flow and wanna do a full exhaust system. I was gonna go with dc but I was told theyre useless pretty much. The next option is buy a hytech replica for 500$any reviews on them as far as power output or is it even worth it.

They make ok power for the price but hang too low to the ground and you have to notch the front cross-member or run a traction bar to fit, most headers that make a bit more power than stock don't fit in the engine bay well.

I'm using one now, would love to get rid of it for something that didn't hang so low to the ground, or maybe modify it to hug the oil pan better.

Too bad the logic tri-y seems to crack all the time or I'd get that, makes good power for the price and doesn't hang low.

I'm considering on using the ebay headers for a buk in a half. If you are going to spend $500 on some headers, why not go dc instead? It's cheaper too. Shouldn't be too much of a difference even if they were being compared to real hytech headers.

It's a difference because the eBay ones and DC don't do ANYTHING, they make NO MORE power than stock. You're just wasting your money on some polished stock header.

Yeah I've heard the same thing about the dc headers. They're just polished and look nice....lol... Well I found a company that has PLM and they're hytech style and I'd have to use a straight pipe for it to complete the length and and didn't mention anything about cutting a piece of the cross member or hang los....Idk.. you guys Kay have better input. The company I spoke with is importparts.com.

How much difference could it be? All they do is make the pipes slightly larger than stock and design an easier flow for the exhaust gases, no? The ebay ones look pretty good and also come with the downpipe too. I'm sure it still makes breathing easier and just a marginal difference if not as much as the hytech headers.

Well honestly everywhere that, I've called and spoken to! They'll all agreed that, its OEM spec and does nothing really. I'm going by what I hear. This is mg first vtec and don't know much about them.
