Hey guys ,

In one of my first ever post I asked about rough low idle after 20-30 seconds of start up. IACV was cleaned,TB was cleaned,vacuum leaks were checked for,(Car died when I covered the TB),No CEL. This video shows what I;m taking about and also you can probably the intake is sucking in air in abundance at the same time.

What are your inputs?

 

how did u check for vacume leaks? and maybe need a valve lash adjustment

does it happen only on start up? with the engine warmed up does it go back to normal idle?

 

Yes as soon as the engine reaches warm it's nomal. and it's always on a cold start or when the engine is almost cool.

 

I sprayed carb cleaner on all the intake area hoses. Idle never rose or changed. After taking off the intake and cover the throttle body hole,the engine died.

 

check coolant level and check spark plugs for any white residue on them. might have coolant leaking from the head gasket..once its all burnt up it will run normal

 

Coolant level is okay. I just check the plugs and there's no white substance. Are the plugs suppose to be tight? Plug 2 from the left felt a bit loose.

 

how loose? as long as its snug its fine. the plug wire will hold it in place too.

 

is the ticking noise all the time or only on start up?

 

If you mean the rattle. It's all the time when you give it gas (not floor it).

I think the plug wasn't that snug. The ratchet turned it a bit too easy.
