Knock sensor gone/Missing ? 4.99 fix RIGHT HERE
So I was pulling on my wire harness and snapped the plug off of my Knock Sensor .. . I was like Shizzle!!!! off to Honda I go . . . .figured maybe 30 or 40 bucks to get a new one !!!! 240 + 13% tax OMFG !!!!
So I hit up Google and found some directions to bypass the knock sensor . . .I was a little skeptical at first . . . but I went out to radio shack and bought a 4.99 Piezo buzzer . . . I mounted the thing to my fuel rail with tie straps as per directions . . . I Reset the ECU with my scan tool. . .
HOOOORAH !!! the knock sensor code went away.
So here's a picture of my 4.99 knock sensor fix.
I attached the positive lead to the knock sensor wire . . grounded the negative under the fuel rail bolt tie strapped it on . . .took 3.5 minutes
I have been for a good rip . . .drove to work and back . . still no engine code . .
Maybe a small tip would be to wrap it in a plastic bag . . not sure how its gonna hold up when I wash the motor

Of course its a temporary fix . .. couple weeks . . maybe more . .. I just dropped all kinds of money into the car. . . I made a dumb mistake and tugged the harness the wrong way... if I tell my wife that I was drunk fiddling with my car and broke a 240 dollar part and I need it so it runs right. . . she would blow a 120 amper in my face!!!
accidents happen . ..
if for some reason someone needs a knock sensor in a pinch, cant afford the time to get to pick and pull or cant afford OEM prices that week . . . . and so on . . .and so on . . .
Here's a trick that works
@grumpyassmarc
Do you think us Honda owners are king of the pile . . . . everyone into any car customizes **** or does what works in a pinch . . . anything to get out of an expensive repair sometimes. . .. its not giving anyone a bad rap. Its +1 to the working man with kids trying to keep the CEL off.....

Logic. Does not. Align.
Cars is an expensive hobby. Now the priorities come into consideration but not before when you were dropping money into it? I'm looking on Ebay right now and OEM replacements don't go for nearly that much money. I'm going to predict that that will be there next year except with a Ziplock bag over it.
The old addage "Do it right. Do it once" comes to mind here.

Your prediction may be spot on, now this falls under a new category. . . "if it aint broke don't fix it"
simply I made a mistake after my swap and needed to fix this asap and with pocket change not the bank card . . . and I did.
And Im sure this will help someone somewhere, some way, somehow
