Default installing intake ?

wonderin if theres anything else i need installing aem cold air intake
except for wats in the instructions

nope, as long as you have new clamps and what not, you should be fine.

AEM CAI on a 4th Gen, nothing special. However on a 5th Gen you will need to cut a bigger hole out of the exsisting one. The AEM CAI was designed for the 4th Gen's which has a bigger hole for which the resinator is under. Apart from that its pretty much smooth sailing.

hrm would it be easier to pay a shop to install my aem cai (arriving soon from coximport)? i got a 5th gen and i dont feel like doing the drilling...and would they know that it has to be drilled bigger?

I had a friend put my intake in. He made the hole larger, but he didn't have to use a drill. It isn't that hard to install. I wouldn't pay someone to do it.

You have to widen the hole on a 4th gen as well, installed my AEM CAI two weeks ago. I just used a dremel to cut it a little larger. Do it yourself man, its incredibly easy. Take the old one out, put the new one in, tighten a few clamps and you're done.

did the same thing dremel to open the hole about an inch. Other then that it is rather simple. On the vtec model its a little harder. Then the s or si.
