O2 Sensor on CAT
I was replacing my exhaust this weekend and broke the O2 senors on the CAT. The top portion covered by the book broke (hit by hammer). So far the car runs normal.
I am hesitant to try to replace it. It looks to be very rusted and almost one with the converter now.
Besides emissions and a CEL, anything more to worry about?

So you have a '96 or newer Accord?
Then that O2 sensor is most likely the secondary unit.
A CEL should trip if it is not hooked up/working. Unlike OBD cars, OBDII can compensate air/fuel mixtures enough that if a cylinder is damaged, damage to the catalyst can be prevented. Replace that rear O2. Soak the old piece in Kroil/liquid wrench/PB blaster to break the rust free.

most parts stores rent an oxygen sensor socket that you can use to replace the sensor...get an Denso oxygen sensor only...don't mess with Bosch cause they suck. Make sure to put a cheater pipe over your ratchet for more leverage.
