93 eg 4 door,Transmission noise
hey h-t,before tearing apart the car id like to get some opinions about my problem. After a nice hard day of driving i go into my car at night to go to the store,Start the car np,have trouble getting it into first, makes some noise trying to get it in(like a piece of metal grinding/rattling)I go to shift into second and also have a hard time(clutch pedal gave me a kick back)and jerked a little,Mainly does it 1,2,3.when im in gear there is no noise, when i put the clutch in and am still in gear there is noise, but when im in neutral and clutch is in(engaged) no noise, when i downshift i hear the noise really bad like oh no dont do it,i think its a bearing or the clutch, please help, thanks
Definitely sounds like clutch.
If you were hard driving you might have worn something on the clutch.
You're gonna have to take it off and look at it.
It could be debris (that would suck) or it could be a bad bearing or the clutch is worn out.
Either way I'd get it off the street asap to avoid causing some severe damage.
If it's just the clutch, it will be a LOT cheaper than if something were to happen to all the gears in your tranny.
