fluttering blow off valve?
i have a SOHC vtec/turbo set up. D16y7/8 motor. .0020 mm thicker head gasket, ported head, 5 angle valve job, adjustable cam gear, high flow fuel pump, adj. fuel regulator, exhaust. When i boost, my blitz ssqv flutters when it purges. is it supposed to sound like that? I purge it at any boost level, and its the same..flutter flutter. <shrug>
I think its just the noise that it was meant to make...kinda like psshs shhs shhhs shhsh shs
edit: here I have this video of a gsx-r bike pushing 30 psi on my school webbysite...does your bov sound like this? This is what my Blitz ss sounds like...

Sounds like it's not opening soon enough and the turbo is backing up a little. Check your vacuum source. You might need to give the bov it's own source without anything tee'd in to it.
My vortech did that for months, tried ALOT of different methods of tight/loose... eventually I loosened it nearly all the way and now it sounds REAL nice, no more dead bird under the hood sound...
sometimes that fluttering is just the wastegate.. u might have ur spring in ur blow off valve too tight and it's not opening up.. i had the same problem.. i thto something was wrong w/ my bov until i loosened the spring.. it turned out the whole time i was hearing a wastegate..
