Help with JDM H22 oil

Default Help with JDM H22 oil

is it normal for the oil in my jdm h22 to be a darkish brown after two weeks of changing it?

Sort of, did you just buy the car? You never fully get all the oil out of the engine durring your basic oil change. So when you add new oil it mixes with the remaining oil and darkens up. Did you do the oil change yourself? If you do and didnt drop the oil-pan and clean out all the sludge build up. This also will help contaminate your new oil causeing it to get darker. Also oil naturally darkens due to the extreme heat over time. So if you were looking for a short answer...yes

If it looks more like chocolate milk STOP DRIVING IT! Its a blown head-gasket and may have a whole another issue on your hands....

I did the oil change but I didn't clean the oil pan. And it does not look like chocolate milk

H22's are dirty motors. I can baby the snot out of my H22 Accord, and the extremely heathy motor will have a black death color to the oil after 500 miles of driving it.

My single cam Civic stays gold no matter how I drive or how long I go between changes.

I guess it's the difference between making power and heat, and not.
