I'm having the same issue with a 94 lx. It'll come on about five minutes after driving it, and won't turn off.

Have you checked for the ABS trouble codes? Once you get the codes, that should shed a little more light on everything.

lol, I am having a similar issue too. My brake lamp won't turn off even though my brake lights work. Does anyone know what's wrong?

Wow, three questions in one.

"grass" - get the code. Might have to go old school and jump the ODB-ii port - or go somewhere and have them read and see what the system is telling you.

"jp" - you are OBD-i so the same service connector under/behind the glove box will get you your code(s) for the abs.

"mish" - I think you are talking about the brake lamp on the car "icon" on the dash.....like where the "door open" thing is. If brake lamp is at the rear of this icon....then I'll guess your issue is something with the "failure" sensor for the circuit. Too lazy to look if both sides have this but I know that most of the time in your gen (4th) the right/pass rear will be the issue.

I pulled the codes and figured out what was wrong.
