Default Cutting out at highway speeds? Need advice

98 civic, check engine light works but is not currently on. Bassicly between 50-70 mph when cruising not accelerating the car seems to loose throttle. You almost feel suttle bucking. It usually happens for 3-10 seconds randomly. I don't think it's electrical because the stereo, headlights nothing dims. You badly notice a drop in rpms maby 100-200 max. In the last year the things I have replaced were as follows; fuel pump, fuel filter, tps, Idle air control valve, cleaned map and throttle body, wires, spark plugs, eBay full distributer, coolant temp sensor, timing belt, cleaned 02 sensors, timing adjustment. Any input highly appreciated!

sounds a lot like a miss. What brand is your distributor? eBay doesn't make parts, nor do they sell them - they're just a marketplace.

Also the car has a smooth idle, runs fine at low speeds and this only happens randomly. The engine seems to be in good condition its quiet as mouse and runs great for 200000 miles that are on it. Recently I put a cold air intake on it and it did not have a port for the Intake air temp sensor so made one. It seemed to be bouncing around so now its sealed tighter. Could a IAT cause the issue?

a WHOLE dizzy for 80$....ya I wouldn't trust that. my cap+rotor from Honda cost more than that let alone a whole distributer.

Wow, yeah, that's garbage. A random miss won't always throw a code.

Start off by replacing your cap and rotor with Honda OEM parts.

So I pulled the cap off and the rotar looks to be non removable? The original dizzy had a small bolt holding it on. Maby these eBay dizzys are disposable lol. The reason I replaced my oem dizzy was it had a bad coil pack and I figured I could be the igniter so I replaced it all. What do you guys think of the msd external coil pack is it reliable for a DD, I always hear they can blow out at random?

Of course it's removable. The rotor is held on by a screw. You need to rotate the engine until it's visible. And get an OEM distributor and not that Ebay aftermarket crap. Put that MSD crap on your car at your own risk.

OEM is the ONLY way to go with certain things look what happened when I bought a "part-source" rotor lol it ate up my shield and posts from the little screw coming lose.

What fuel pump did you use?

I'd be inclined to say it's either related to the fuel or the ignition.

That sounds like a shitty distributor.
Maybe try oem Honda for this as well?

So I finally got a CEL ; misfire cylinder 4. What is that more likely to be something on the ignition side of fuel side the only thing on the fuel side I haven't replaced is the regulator , rail, and injectors. The injectors I can hear ticking away. The car runs perfect at idle and normal driving its just freeway speeds?

You have the cheapest distributor known to man. It's your ignition system. Replace it with a good unit. Preferably OEM, but if you can't afford that, get a parts store replacement with a warranty, and buy an OEM cap and rotor to put on it.

My dizzy was causing a miss at hwy speeds and got worst on hotter days. Unfortunately OEM is not possible for a b series vtec so I went with rockauto and a distributor with a lifetime warranty. It fixes my issues and has been running strong since. But it could also be something as small a a injector with debris stuck in it, limiting flow.
