Default People are utterly stupid..

So as some of you know I just recently installed a turbocharger into my 94 CD7 with a tune scheduled for the 4th of June. In my processes of getting the car ready to go I bought a Walbro 225 for an awesome $50.00 with less than 300 miles on it. The guy I bought it from didn't feel it suited his performance needs and bought a fullblown twin hanger pump unit for his Civic sedan.

I crawled underneath the tank tonight and after looking it dawned on me that some jackass decided to throw a jack underneath my car (before I owned it of course, I am the only one that's ever worked on it under my ownership) and lift it up from the tank. How can one be so stupid!? You can clearly see where the tank flexed towards the rear of the passenger strap making very little contact with the strap. Was it honestly that difficult to locate the rear subframe? Or hell even the trunk well, but not the damn tank!

</rage>

Anyways, does anyone know if this will be detrimental on the performance or general usage of the tank? No leaks, still holds +/- ~17 gallons so I presume its fine.

As an obvious reference, we all know what these look like.

I'm surprised one of those jacks would even reach the tank. It really doesn't look like it's deep enough to be of any concern in terms of function. The only thing to worry about is leaking which I'm guessing is what your concern is. I would say no, but if you plan on replacing the fuel pump it would obviiously be best to replace the tank too. However, if it were me, I would probably be proactive and just have them replaced asap....when thinking of worse case scenarios.

I wouldn't worry about it. The bottom side of my civic is 10X worst than what you have.

I would just leave it, chances are the in-tank effect of that dent is much less in comparison to the outside. Not that it's a lot in the first place.

Are you at my house? I have the same pos jack and same jack stands.... My old 240 had the tank bent in from either a jack or slamming the rear of the car down hard on something. It bent the fuel sending and pump unit (no wonder why i had issues with the gauge). I used a hammer and a long treated piece of wood to hammer it back out (i had tank access through the trunk). Replaced the fuel sending unit and it still works great to this day. I no longer have the car and the guy that bought it is a moron and broke the timing belt and continually tried to start it then put blue devil, and all sorts of other **** in it instead of listening to me.... That poor car.
