Default Tachometer help

Hi everyone I need some he
P with my tach

Basically, it jumps up and down and moves weird. When I'm accelerating it shows a little accurately but not very much. Wen I'm at same speed it will move up and down when it wants or do whatever, does anyone know ow to fix this? Thanks!

Sounds like somethin in the wires, check all the wires coming from the dizzy

1.) Loose ign wiring
2.) check your cap and rotor

Could you be a little more specific, I'm not really in the car scene, so I'm new to this.

Take your Distributor Cap off and inspect all the wires and terminals on the ignitor. Ignitor will be the little silver sqare box mounted on the inside of the dizzy. Should have like 3 or 4 square wire connectors. I had the same issue before and my wires on the terminals of the ignitor were somewhat loose and not firmly attached.

Make sure the rotor is tight too I had a loose one cause problems

This.

Pretty sure most people solve this issue by simply replacing the distributor.

If the wires Are in fact loose what can. Do about it if anythng
