Car won't start but radio, dash lights work?
2000 civic se
Had it parked the whole winter.
I can jump the car and drive it around, run it for half an hour or so, but when I turn it off and try to start again, all I hear is a humming sound when I turn the ignition.
The radio and lights work, I even cleaned the posts and terminals?
Bad battery?

Sounds like it could possibly even be the alternator. I am no mechanic though but it's just what comes to mind if I were dealing with the same situation. Maybe get that looked at as well? Good luck
get a multimeter and check the battery voltage. should be in the 12.x range. Then start the car and take the reading on the battery. should be between 13.4 - 14.5v. if not your alternator is bad or slipping. check the belt tension
Had the same problem with my car, it was bad terminal connections. Check your grounds and see if you can get it to start, before spending money on the battery.
How far are you from an Advance Auto Parts, NAPA, AutoZone, etc?
Most times those places will test your battery, alternator, and starting system for FREE without you having to remove anything just drive the car up and ask for a check. Just um make sure you don't buy any replacement starters or alternators from them. Unless you want them to die within 12 months....... Consult this thread for replacement recommendations:

Also should you buy a battery from them stay away from the Bronze or Economy aka "El Cheapo" level batteries.
