Sup everyone. Need some help figuringnout what tire size to run for the front and back for a 4wd civic hatch project. Here is the design. Got a 2000 Crv manual Transmission and transfer case and the best closest rear end that I could find is the Corvette C4 automatic rear which is a 2.59 rear drive ratio. If the transfer case is 2.542:1 rotstion will the corvette c4's 2.59 gear ratio work sith the crv transmission with 215/45/17 front and rear? Tire total diameter is 24.6".

 

Man have kind of the same problem but using the s2k rear diff and k 24 with element awd 5spd. If I find it I will help you out are trying to lock the rear end to work all the time?

 

Im using the Corvette C4 Dana 36 Rear Diff and the Corvette brake system on a 92 Eg

 

IF the transfer case is a 2.542 and the rear diff is a 2.59 thats only a .048 gear ratio difference. Wonder what that transforms to at the wheels?

 

4.8% rotational difference.

 

If they are the same size tire and rim.

 

Wait the transfer on the transfer case isn't 1:1 so you have to account for that, it's .904:1 I think.

 

After the transfer ratio the rear would only turn at 2.34:1

 

Way too much.

 

Anyone know if you can cut and weld cast aluminum?
