1997 Honda Accord...HELP HELP!!
I was removing the sterring wheel to straighten back up it was crooked and then attempted to reset srs light due to being on and instead I short circuited the wire that connects to airbag and now car wont turn over it just clicks.
btw you don't remove the steering wheel to straighten it up...you need to have an alignment done...be sure to tell the person that does your next alignment that you messed up the placement of the steering wheel.
Sorry, I'll go simple on this...no need to get complicated, the SRS is a distraction IMHO.
Key to start, measure the voltage on the small wire to the starter....what is the reading?
What is the voltage reading on the battery when at "rest", key off?
EDIT: you did at one point remove the battery cables before doing this "work" so be sure they are back on clean and tight.
PS- there is an ICU on the 5th gens - "bcd7977" - what " multiplex are you speaking of?

Well I'm more familiar with 6g accords, they have a small plastic box on the outer edge area both sides of dash...these are multiplexers. They are like a junction where all electrical systems come together. I have seen power surges blow these out, they switch everything from windows to cluster illumination. Again, maybe 5th gen doesn't have this, but it does cause problems on 6g's. ***they are also specific to model, ie. u must use an "ex" plexer if ur car is ex, etc.
