Gsr transmission problem. Tranny gurus please help. Hard to shift.
Ok....I'm gonna break this down as easy as can get. We purchased a used gsr tranny of craigslist(I know). The guy gave us receipt for proof of synchros being purchased. So supposedly the tranny was rebuilt. We swapped in a HMO gsr engine into a gsr she'll that we had bought. Everything is new. New stage 2 clutch , flywheel, press plate etc. seals that are on the way and new Amsoil synchromesh tranny fluid. Funny thing is that the tranny is hard to shift. And it's not clutch oriented. At least I think.
The thing is that if the car has sat for a while....gears will all go in fine. Lever is smooth. But as soon as you drive it a while(warms up I guess) the lever is all stiff. And barely wants to shift. Wether the car is on or off. That's why I doubt it's slave cylinder problem since it doesn't matter if its off or not. Only difference is felt when car is cold or warm.
I would appreciate any help since this **** is driving us nuts and we can't seem to come up with an idea of what it can be. And I don't wanna drop tranny for no reason.
Thank in advance for any help or light shed on this subject

I believe it's Amsoil synchromesh. The 5w-30. Could it really be the fluid? I was led to that and found out by manual that it takes 2.4 quarts when I only had out 2. So I went to get another bottle of synchromesh. To add the .4 thinking that was it. Since it seemed it was maybe oil oriented.
Even though I do remember it looked lighter. Maybe they shipped me wrong fluid? Could fluid really do that?
what engine ? low fluid can do this BUT it would do it all the time. for 30$ I'd go get some MTF drain and refill I'm not to famillier with the tranny internals but it's possible something was installed wrong during said rebuild ?. doesn't grid I trust also for what it's worth check the linkages and bushings and tranny mount

Well we couldn't find any Honda mtf....so we decided to put some 10w-30 oil in it till Monday. We wanted to drive to eibach
. anyways......when oil was drained it had a slight weird grey color. And it's only been in for a week. Kinda of seemed like it had water mixed in it? Idk how to explain it. But it definately looked like water.

Did the motor oil work any better? Did you flush the trans with more motor oil to get the rest of the **** out? 5w30 is a suitable temporary fluid for our teg manual trans.
Well it does it still after a longer time though. We gonna flush it a few times and see what happens. I'm starting to think it has water still inside. Will keep updating if we figure it out. Thanx
