Post HELP!!! B16a in EG not turning over.... HELP!!!

Hello Honda-Tech I am in need of help desperately. I have a B16a swap in my 1994 Vx Honda Civic Hatchback. Up until recently my hatch was running and staring no problem but all of a sudden it started acting up (not starting). I thought it was the starter so I went out and bought a new one. Still wouldnt start, so then I thought it could be my wire harness since it was hacked up so I went out and got a new Rywire Tucked Harness (the cheaper one from JHP for $350) and still the problem contines. So I thought starter relay so I bypassed that sending constant power to the starter and still nothing. All I hear is the the clicking noise under the hood but it wont turn over. I have replaced main relay, and fuel pump and it just wont start at all. But if I take a jumper cable and jump the starter the car starts. My mechanic tested the volts and everything looked good. Idk what to do can someone help me please? Thanks

check grounds(main 3) then swap out the batt. it's probably a ground issue. will it even "crank" ?

I will check the grounds again and swap battery to see. And by "crank" what do you mean? I put the key in and try to start it but nothing. I hear the fuel pump prime and all I get is a click sound from main relay and in the engine bay as well. But when I leave the key in the start position and then jump the starter from battery then it starts no problem.

crank as in try to turn over(the starter would need to be working for it to do that). sounds like a bad batt or grounding issue to me tho not a big prob.

Crazy, I posted about what seems to be the EXACT same issue as well, yesterday.

My thread here: https://honda-tech.com/forums/honda-civic-del-sol-1992-2000-1/starting-problems-94-sol-w-ls-swap-3146153/

I'll post in your thread with updates if I come up with anything, currently trying the battery from another car.

I will change out the battery and check all the grounds when I get home later and post back here. As far as crank it turns over but only when I jump it from the battery to the starter. Other than that clicking from main relay and clicking from starter or whatver it is from the engine bay.

Update: not the battery in my case. I thought it was. I'm going to replace the terminal clamps with some from the Honda dealership and see if it improves things.

Read this thread, see if it helps you pin point the bad component:

Checked and triple checked. I re-did both ends of the ground cable and sanded every surface and the end of every ground in the car.

Question - if it's a bad ground, would just connecting the negative clip of the battery charger make it start properly, or would I still need to complete that circuit?

So I changed all my ground wires and now its start more often than before however there are time when I have to try and start it 8-10 times before it actually starts... I have a ground going from top of valve cover to frame by headlight, then tranny to wall, and starter to tranny should there be more grounds?
