i have a p07.. that is showing code 0...guessing its my ecu... can i use a p08 ecu to see if i still get code 0? as long as i dont try to start it ? just wanna know it if my ecu or if i have a short where i jump the wire

for as cheap as the oem ecu's go for i say replace the ecu with a known good unit.
Wire shortage is possible but i highly doubt it unless something has been done near the ecu wiring loom/harness recently.

Already covered this with OP in the other thread:

He has got Code 0, but the car starts, I advised he check ecu ground and for a short in the service connector as per the FSM.
