Hello ht I have a 95 eg with a d16y8 it's bottom end built and I'm pushing 26 pounds but after changing the PVC valves head gasket and valve seals I'm not getting the power I used too it builds up boost way faster then it used to used to be full boost at 5.6 rpm but now at like 3 and it feels like there is no power at all anyone have this before? It's almost like timing but I checked it and its in
|||. | Were the dot is and dizzy is a bit advanced as well so idk help me out!

Tripple check your cam timing. If you have an adjustable cam gear, make sure it didn't slip either.

 

It'd be helpful to know about the setup, who tuned it, what it was tuned on, etc... Do you have fuel/timing maps or the graph of AFRs from the dyno?

 

I'm playing with the timing right now and it kinda seems like that's the prob. But anyways he setup is a built bottom end y8 eagle h beam rods and low comp vitara pistons with a 67 trim turbo setup everything ran great befor I changed the head gasket and valve seals and PVC valves it smoked like hell at idle but I after I changed all that the smoking stopped but now it's got no power but builds full boost?

 

It was timing! Got it all good now have no timing covers on motor so I was winging it every time and finally got it thanks for all the help
