Default Swap: Good or Bad?

Got a 94 civic that has a d16z6 with a D15B2/7 head. Now would it be worth it to build the D16 or swap with a B16A SIR-II? Looking for total $/HP ratio here.

In the long run, it would still be cheaper to buy the correct stuff to reassemble the D16Z6 engine. Cheaper parts, operating cost, etc. Get to know your engine before you decide to step up to the larger powerplants.

Honestly save your money and get B18 or bigger OR turbo. The d and the b16 are gonna let you down in the long run.

Dollar to horsepower ratio? Not doing that kind of legwork for you without getting paid. Plus there are a lot of other factors to consider and with a build there is always something that you never plan for that throws off your budget.

Do yourself a favor. Go to this site and do some window shopping. Find teh engine you might want to run and then look for a DIY on how to put it in.

h22 and leave it as is..lol good enough for dd...

I made a booboo and bought a b16a lsd obd1 swap from steve at hmotors and it let me down big time... Keep in mind i am a N/A guy and don't do the turbo stuff so i need the 2.2 for me to be happy because i don't run a turbo...

If you want to boost i would say maybe get a b18c (gsr jdm) or a hype r. <-- keep in mind these are high compression motors and it would be ideal to build the bottom to where it has less comp than stock form, so that you can do more with your turbo
