96 civic lxi, 5 speed. How do I make/adjust the idle further up when the a/c is on without incresing too much the idle when the a/c is off. Basically my idle was normal with or without the a/c untill I changed the compressor. Yes I installed a bigger compressor(free) because the old one is almost dead. It gives out very cold air but it also puts added strain on the motor. Idle is around 800rpm, with a/c on almost the same but since the compressor is harder to turn, its causing the engine to vibrate as if the idle is very low. I tried raising the idle to 1000rpm w/o a/c, around the same also with a/c on but there is stil some vibration. I dont want to adjust the idle further because its annoying when the a/c is disengaged. Is there a way to adjust the a/c idle separately?
