Default WHAT SLICKS!!!!

Ok in my opinion MH slicks suck at least on 24.5. I hear there only good for 10 passes in there finished.I have heard this from several racers. So live and learn I guess. So I here MT are the best and they last. I see all types of compounds. Which one is best!!!

How much power are you making?

I had about 40 passes on my MH's and I bought them used. I just recently replaced them and put 8 passes on the new set last weekend. Depends on your power level, but if differs from tire to tire.

I just ordered MT so will see how they go. I am defiantly making some power. But so is everyone else. I see no one local racers here running M&H.

I have about 40 passes on them with plenty meat on them still.I never saw a slick were if you went to low on tire pressure you would spin. If I leave it at 7psi they sorta hook. But anything lower sit and spin.i also was told they need to be replaced every year. These are about 3 years old. I guess with the new power level M&H is not up to the task

You understand you made a post asking about which slicks, stating all you've heard is MH sucks.

...followed by a post less than 1.5 hrs after saying you ordered MT slicks?

Followed by more **** "you heard"? Now you can see why us folks who run MH and know you don't have a clue what you're talking about are laughing....

Well to make use of this thread I guess. What would be the best slicks for my Car. I'm finally on the wheel/tire/suspension portion of my build. Been working on it for 5years and finaly ordered my wheels last week.
quick details:
84mm Sleeved GSR, Built head, stock lsd trans/axles.
Comp CT43-6767 Turbo, AFI Twin Scroll FF Manifold.
Made 790hp/503tq spinning like crazy. on 15X7 5zigan w/ Nitto Neogens.

Just ordered!!
BelaK 13X9 and, BelaK 15X4 Skinnies.

I haven't had much free time to read into or ask for opinions on slicks. But, sense I came across this thread figured i'd put off going to bed, thread jack and ask

Thusfar, i'm really diggin something from Hoosier and my honest reason is because I like how they look with the white lettering and all. So if you can imagine I need a little help. I will more than likely drive this car on the street with these wheels(its just the way I am

so your looking for a radial for the street or a slick for the track? imo for the track for your wheels M/T 24.5x9x13 and for the street if it will fit enkei rpf1 14x7 19mm offset with hoosier QTP 26x9.5x14 tires.

I know plenty ive had these slicks for 3 years and never had conistant 60ft with them. In opnion they dont do the job for my needs. Ive talk to several racers on the track and they all said MT is the way to go. I was simply asking some opnions. Before I dropped my hard earned cash.

The only way to really tell is put an M&H on one side and a Mickey Thompson on the other and see which one spins first.

Seriously though, the fastest small tire cars don't all run the same tire, some use M&H some use Mickey Thompson. Running ten's as your signature suggests you really shouldn't see any substantial difference between the two.....

Here's a hint for The OP. it's called boost control. Learn how to use it and dial down the power in 1st gear. Do you think you can hit a 24.5" slick with 700hp off the line?? HaHa.

There is a point where you start spinning the slick inside the wheel. Do you have your slicks secured to your wheels ? My car spun worse and lost .25 on the et going from 7 to 5 psi because wheels spun inside the rims
