Default B16a build/turbo opinions

I currently have a jdm b16a sir 2 in my eg. I will be pulling the motor soon for a rebuild due to oil buring on acceleration. My plans as of now are to rebuild possibly with the same internals, but i'm not sure that my ctr cams will be any good for boost. I currnently have b16a with ctr cams and pistons and a few other mods, but that's all i possibly be putting back in on the rebuild. i just need opinions on internals to run that will be good for boost. any opinions or tips will be greatly appreciated! and i'm not really super worried about how much power it will put out. its just gonna be a "weekend car" after its finished.

Having an initial budget will save your ***. If you don't set a total price you may never finish it. 2k? 4K? etc etc. What are your power goals? Suspension? etc etc

State a budget. State a power goal. These are the basic pieces of information you need to even consider a turbo build. If you cannot answer these questions, pardon me for saying, but don't bother asking because we can't help you. Anyone that attempts to furnish an answer without this info shouldn't be listened to.

well, i'm buying all the parts i need for the rebuild within the next few weeks. but i'd say probably between a around 2k after i buy all the rebuild parts, but i realize i'll probably end up spending more than that.. i'm not really looking for an incredible amount of power. i'd like to run around 300hp with a semi built motor on boost. suspension i'll probably keep my current suspension because its pretty good already.

i understand. thanks for the tips, i really appreciate any tips, this will be my first build so i'll take any tips really. i'm gonna say 3k as a budget since i just started my new job and i'll be making a decent amount more than i have been. and probably 300hp on semi build.

I don't think you've taken the EMS or the tune into account here if this is or total budget. Might want to hop over to Forced Induction and start reading the FAQs.

I have taken that into account, i plan on buying s300 before the rebuild and then dyno tuning after its all finished, i understand that will cost more. but i'll go check that out as well.

Don't need a rebuild to get 300hp. If you rebuild then the limit will be whatever the turbo, fuel system and you pockets can deliver.

i burn a decent amount of oil in high rpms is the reason for the rebuild. it would be really nice if i didn't have to rebuild, i don't think its a great idea to boost with bad oil rings.
