Default Smogging a car with a bent valve(s)

I think I may have bent my valve(s) when my water pump seized. I'm planning on selling my car with full disclosure, but as a seller, I need to smog the car.

Do you think I can smog the car with the bent valve(s) and pass?
If the exhaust valve is bent, on the compression stroke, the unburnt fuel mixture will escape before it is ignited. I believe this will cause the HC to go up. But will it go up enough to
cause me to fail smog?

Is there a way to sell a car w/o smogging it? I know the transfer of title won't happen unless the car is smogged. I just hate to be in a position where I have the car in my name for months after I sold it because the owner can't smog it or is working on it.

Change registration to non-op, then no need to smog when you sell it.

Damn Cali sucks. In ny it's on the buyer to get the smog check done.

I'm guessing no matter what valves are bent it will make no difference, it won't pass. I can't tell you for sure tho

I believe you have to smog to change the title. Leaving it on non-op, the owner will have to keep the bill of sale and then xfer it months down the line when the car is ready for smog. Not liking the idea of keeping the car in my name while it's not in my possession.

In this case, if the new owner junked the shell somewhere I would be responsible for the towing/clean up fees. That's what happened to my dad in the 70s.
