Default 5 speed conversion

I got a 93 Del slo, automatic(yes I know.) I wanna change it to 5 speed. I'm not sure if any shifter will fit. Like an EK or Teg. I'm leaning on going to a b20 swap since its easier to find than a b16 or GSR . Anyone know which shifter and linkage will work ?

Del Sol B-Series, DA and any Civic BESIDES 99-00 Si will not work.

del sol shift linkage is special (specific to del sol only) you cannot use a eg/ek/or dc linkages.

if you install a b series get a 93 97 del sol (VTEC model, b16a3) linkages.

can anyone chime in on the passengers side trans mount. i see alot of auto to 5spd conversions it appears the engine/trans assy sits high on the passengers side.. do you have to drill a new hole for the trans mount bolt or does it require cutting the motor mount pocket Off and re weld a 5spd style pocket in?

'94 - '97 actually (there was no Vtec model in '93, only S and Si) But yes it needs to be a Del Sol linkage and nothing else, it's about 2" longer than a regular B-series linkage.

You can buy an aftermarket swap mount that drops the transmission down and moves it either ahead or back half an inch (I can't remember which way anymore) or you can drill all the spot welds out of the bracket welded to the frame rail and replace it with the manual version along with the manual rubber mount.
