Default B16 crank cog removal.

Hey guys. I'm removing my crank, but I'm having trouble getting the crankshaft cog off.
Any tips? Or am I going to have to get a gear puller?

Thanks.

By Crankshaft Cog i'm assuming you mean the timing belt drive pulley. (also known as a sprocket)

This should be easily removed. But I must ask, did you remove the timing belt already?

Correct, the timing belt drive sprocket/cog. I wouldn't describe it as a pulley.

Seems like a strange question to ask, but yes, the timing belt has been removed.

Would you suggest using a couple of screwdrivers ? I don't want to damage it.

there are quite a few ways to do it, but i would look in to getting the proper removal tool. it's the safest way.

check out your local auto parts store. they can probably rent it to you.

Okay. I had the same issue. The only thing I had to do was squeeze a screw driver between the crank case and the sprocket gently. And tapped it lightly and it popped off. I wouldn't use to much force though.
