Cracked Valve Cover, what should I do?
Got my JDM valve cover from Kuruma Racing. I believe it was damaged during shipping, if Kuruma Racing doesn't warrant the exchange (I would highly doubt that they wouldn't), is this fixable?
fix it with some pliers and paint it with some touch up paint.
no oil will leak from there.

Are you going to cut out that side for cam gear adjustment anyway?
its doesnt matter if not fixed

Hell no. Use a jigsaw or hacksaw and do it your self. Takes 2 minutes. Then file down the rough edges with a bastard file of some sort.

Well, if you look closely at the picture the valve cover isn't completely all the way on. That corner is up a little higher and it isn't a tight fit.

Thats because it isnt bolted down......
Did they ship via UPS or FEDEX? Maybe they had shipping insurance...
It is fixable but to do it right esthetically it would probably cost a little $$
You could always get the black cover sandblasted and painted red.
Dont fix that. make them exhange that.
Honda never designed their packing to be UPS safe. It is based around internal shipments.
Boo to them for not adding packing material to that box. As such, they should exchange it.

BTW--it was shipped via Airborne Express.

call them up and explain the situation. they will tell you to send it back for an exchange or tell you to claim it with the shipping company. either way, you'll have a new cover. I wouldn't keep and try to fix that if I paid for a new one.
good to hear.
