I have an 06 Civic LX and my CEL came on. I used a code sensor and 'P0116 cnf mod10 1/1 Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor 1 circuit range / performance' popped up.
I am a complete newbie when it comes to cars, never grew up with them and my 06 is my first car. I have had it for a year now.

Can anyone be so kind as to point me to any tutorial to getting my sensor looked at / replaced myself?

I am stationed overseas in Italy, not knowing any Italian. I don't really trust taking my car to a mechanic here, many people have bad experiences. There is a Honda dealer in the city nearby but, again, I don't speak Italian and I am nervous about creating more problems.
