Default Engine coolant sensor 1994 civic ex

If this is bad, how will it affect my idle... and driveability... I took my car to a shop earlier but the diagnostics showed nothing, is it possible the sensor will not cause an error code .

A bad sensor will not cause a CEL (iirc). You can get a new sensor at Autozone for $20, and it takes like 5 minutes to change.

Ok, so this sensor will make my car idle higher than normal, loss power and have shittier fuel usage... but it won't show up on a diagnostics? weird... my check engine light also doesn't work.
