Default Reverse Flush Transmission Torture

My 98 EX auto transmission is already toast, so I have decided to abuse it with a reverse flush of Lucus laden fluid. A reman. unit is being reviewed by the Secretary of War and Finance (wife) for budget approval.

The idea is to force the mixture in reverse back through the input line to the cooler with a pump while operating the solenoids using 12 vdc.

The drain plug will remain out, and I'll catch the fluid and filter it to observe what comes out.

I suspect that the internal screens/filters are clogged with very fine clutch material.

Anyone care to add to or comment on this form of transmission abuse?

Meh, I don't think you will get the results you want.
Easier to just pull the shift solenoids apart and clean the screens manually. There is the sump filter, but if that is clogged rather than reverse flush(which I don't think will work), use Sea Foams Tran Tune instead.

I think he said it's already toast and being replaced. he just wants to see what comes out, on this, go big or go home, hook the SOB to the output of a pressure washer, complete with soap, LOL

do something fun, get going at a good clip, and throw it into park a few times, then flush, I want to see what comes out, have some fun destroying it , it's junk anyway right?

Enough pressure would have to be created to backfeed the transmission pump(fairly sure its a gerotor), which is also directly connected to the engine via the torque converter housing. IOTW the pump and engine would have to rotate backwards. And that's if there are no check valves preventing backfeeding.

Nothing but noise or the case may be destroyed, along with the shafts, which would be bad if he needs the dead trans as a core.

#16 is the parking pawl, it is spring loaded and will most likely just bouce off the parking pawl gear. But if it were to break off and then jam between the shaft gears, all manner of bad ju ju would happen. Park is similar to Neutral, but with a parking pawl.

Hell everyone knows if you want to create havoc and destroy and AT that you much get up to 88MPH and throw the shifter into reverse.
